Epsilon3 Changelog #45: Propagation of Snippet Changes, Start Procedures Independently in Operations, Procedure Tag Management, and more!

Welcome to the latest Epsilon3 Changelog. In this edition, we have some great new features and improvements to share with you. Happy reading!

TL;DR:

  • Propagation of Snippet Changes

  • Start Procedures Independently in Operations

  • Procedure Tag Management

We’d like to congratulate AstroForge and Bronco Space on their successful launch and orbit aboard the SpaceX Falcon-9 rocket!

AstroForge, in collaboration with OrbAstro, has developed Brokkr-1, a 6U CubeSat aimed to validate asteroid mining technologies, refinement capabilities, and conduct extractions in the vacuum of space. On this mission, Brokkr-1 will utilize a laser to vaporize a small quantity of asteroid-simulating material, followed by separation and isolation of valuable metals.

The Bronco team set out to build their Yearling-2 satellite inexpensively and efficiently that is capable of transmitting data communications to ground stations across the globe. They have paved the way for other universities to follow suit and create affordable satellite solutions!

As always, we love hearing from you! Please feel free to share your exciting updates and of course, your invaluable feedback as they continue to help shape our products to better meet your needs.

New! Propagation of Snippet Changes

  • When editing a procedure in draft mode, any section or step snippet that is outdated will be highlighted.

  • Toggle between the current and latest versions of the snippet to compare changes.

  • Resolve updates by either accepting the changes or detaching the snippet to keep the current version.

  • All outdated snippets need to be resolved before the draft procedure can be sent for review.

New! Start Procedures Independently in Operations

  • Procedures will no longer automatically start when an operation is started.

  • Updated display that reflects the count of each procedure, accompanied by a run button.

  • Runs can be started from the run button or added/started from the drop-down menu.

  • Adding or starting runs of procedures that are designated as part of the operation, contributes to the total tally of those counts.

  • Ad hoc runs can also be added.

Improved! Procedure Tag Management

  • Bulk invite modal now shows all projects for your workspace.

  • Selecting workspace access populates access to all projects with the same access level.

  • Individual project access can then be adjusted accordingly.

  • Selecting another workspace access resets project access to the new level.

  • Exceeding seat count message is now displayed before clicking submit, and no longer requires additional confirmation.

Improvements:

  • Single button to upload both text and image at same time.

  • Send dictionary id with telemetry service to client.

  • Procedure locking logic applies in preview mode.

  • Display different background colors for review comments and redline comments.

Fixes:

  • Fixed tooltips for end procedure button and release button to clarify that the messages are not errors.

  • Fixed jump-to links in diffs.

  • Fixed snippets to auto-detach if they are deleted.

  • Fixed the suggested edits button so it does not display in preview run.

  • Fixed alignment of images and text blocks.

  • Fix to allow snippets to be targets of field input conditionals.
